Scoring Scale & Performance Levels
The GED Math test is scored on a scale ranging from 100 to 200. Your final score determines your certification level and potential college benefits:
- 145 – 164 (Passing Score): High School Equivalency. You have demonstrated mathematical skills equivalentHaving the same value.

- 175 – 200 (GED College Ready + Credit): You have demonstrated mastery of the subject and may be eligible to earn up to 3 college credits in mathematics.
- 100 – 144 (Below Passing): You have not yet passed and will need to study and retake the exam.
Question Types & Formatting
The GED Math exam is completely computer-based. To assess your skills accurately, it uses a variety of technology-enhanced question formats. You should be prepared for the following:
